Vocational Strong, On-Highway Smart

Your truck makes money on the road, not in the tech bay. That’s why we built the Coronado® to be strong enough to take everything an off-road driver can throw at it, but still be efficient on the asphalt. With the soul of a vocational truck, it will tackle even your biggest on-highway needs, and still maintain great uptime.

Henrob rivets pierce only one layer of metal, keeping moisture where it belongs: outside the cab.

The Coronado’s Backbone

It’s hard enough to do your job on a good day, and when you have water in your cab, it’s definitely not a good day. That’s why the cab of every Coronado is secured with Henrob rivets and tough adhesives to keep the rain on the road. If you are going through some seriously cold conditions, we have an optional Extreme Client Thermal Package that will keep you comfortable, and keep your truck working in some of the coldest temperatures in North America. And we wouldn’t put the Freightliner name on it if we didn’t think it was safe, so every Coronado meets or exceeds the rigorous Swedish and European ECE R-29 crash-worthiness test requirements.

Haul More

The Coronado is made to haul some of the biggest loads over the toughest roads in North America. That’s why we’ve built it with front axles rated from 12,000 to 22,000 lbs. and rear axles with capacities of 23,000 to 70,000 lbs. There are tag and pusher axles (with liftable and steerable options) available with ratings up to 20,000 lbs., more than enough to carry your biggest loads.

Keep Fueling Your Fire

Fuel is the lifeblood of your truck. That’s why we install the patented EquiFlo fuel system to every new Coronado we make. The system is designed to keep fuel evenly distributed between your two tanks, and make sure it stays nice and cool, so you can keep on rolling, even under the most demanding conditions.
