Designed to Drive On and On

The Cascadia® is designed for uptime. With fewer parts, made easier to reach and service throughout the entire truck, there’s a long list of reliable components and thoughtful design details that keep the Cascadia driving on.

Cascadia Durability Electrical System

Intelligent Diagnostics

The state-of-the-art, dual-functioning electrical system on the Freightliner Cascadia blends new diagnostic tools with the best of traditional systems. This evolutionary design allows any technician to access diagnostics, such as engine and transmission Electronic Control Units (ECUs), with ease. It's an intelligent design that slashes downtime and repair costs.

Flexible Electrical System

Want the brake lights to come on whenever the engine brake is in use? In the past, that meant hard-wiring. But a flexible electrical system allows dealer or fleet technicians to set this and many other options to inexpensively customize the Cascadia.

Quick-to-Service Ingenuity

The hood opens effortlessly and wide for fast engine access. The standard roped-in windshield can be quickly replaced. And, with the three-piece design of both the bumper and hood, road debris dents and dings are easily repaired. Only one part needs to be replaced or painted, which reduces labor costs. Since chassis side fairings have smaller sacrificial parts, quick release hinges, and are available in mold-in color, fairing repair and replacement is less expensive and easy.

Ultra-Reliable HVAC Systems

If the HVAC isn't working, drivers aren't working comfortably. The condenser in a typical AC system works under significant pressure that can wear out hoses, compressors and seals. The Cascadia HVAC system features a large condenser to reduce system pressure and increase the life of the components. The Cascadia's robust ventilation system keeps both driver and passengers comfortable.

Interior that Wears Well

Drivers log thousands of miles each month in the Cascadia, but still want it to look good for years. That's why the interior is made to last. Door sills, dashboards and other high-wear areas feature molded-in color materials, so nothing wears off. And all fabrics and surfaces are stain resistant and easy to clean.
